USER NAME: Valk CHARACTER NAME: Hawkfeather DESIRED RANK: Deputy AGE: Thirty-six GENDER: Tom PERSONALITY: confrontational | opinionated | logical | respectful | too level-headed |no self-preservation | REASON: Hawkfeather is a hard-working cat by force, he was brought up that way and finds that is the only way to live. He will give anything for his clan and is always looking out for others despite his own problems. RP EXAMPLE: Sorry it was so rushed.Hawkfeather couldn't help but bristle with irritation as he caught site of one of his patrol mates lying in the long thin grass. The grass swayed in the breeze dancing around the hellfire colored cat settled comfortably in between the dance. The cat seemed to not have noticed or smelt him which gave Hawkfeather an advantage of surprise but that wasn’t needed regardless this cat was going to receive some scolding. But before the daggers could roll off his salmon colored tongue his logic busted through the doors of main stream thought reminding him to keep calm. Swallowing words of complete frustration, he stalked towards the tom keeping his tone steady as he made his way.
"What exactly gave you the right to sprawl out like a queen sun-basking?"
There was a tone of amusement there but only by force, he was grateful his ability to keep his emotions on lock was strong. As the sun dyed cat glanced over at him, he realized it wasn’t Goldentail one of his patrol mates but Sorrelfire, an actual queen. Embarrassment flooded his face but was diminished quickly by pride and a bit of awe from the beauty the queen had displayed. The sun light was bouncing off her pelt making it seem far more enchanting than it actually was an illusion. On all the sides, the female was assaulted by hellfire dipped in sand. The base color of her pelt was beige, but night stains her snout and mid back, reaching all the way to her tail. The beige crown on her forehead was suited perfectly before it clashes with the deep orange that bleeds down her muzzle towards her velvet nose. Her cheeks, legs and underside are all untouched by the deep sunrise orange stripes that threaten to spread from her neck to her paws. Her eyes are exotic sapphire gems, her cool, unyielding gaze perpetually assessing and calculating each situation she encounters. Her body yet was undeniably feminine, but the lean muscles hidden beneath her silken fur betray her disciplined nature. She seemed amused by his question and merely tilted her head at him before she spoke lightly her voice teasing.
“Well no I was sun-basking like a kit.”
Hawkfeather couldn’t help but avoid the direct eye connect she seemed to want from him. It was already embarrassing enough he had just called out a cat that wasn’t the cat he thought they were. He cleared his throat and gave her a small sheepish smile, before his voice boomed out of those hard jaws.
“Well... continue on with that, If you’d like I could fetch you something from the fresh-kill pile.”
Just as he spoke he realized his whole theory had been on pure stupidity, they weren’t even that far from the clan’s camp so it made even more since the queen had been here out in the open. Then he recalled her kits who were now apprentices, Lionpaw and Leafpaw. He shook his head with a small smile the two were feisty but a pleasure to have as apprentices’ two of the few that actually listened. When she replied to him with a mere no thank you, he went about on his patrol looking for the rest of the patrol only to find that now just nearing the Rockclan border. They seemed hopeless without him and just as he returned to the head he couldn’t help but laugh as Ravenwing let out a small sigh. His clan still needed him just as much as he needed it.

USER NAME: Redwhisker CHARACTER NAME: Sunstar DESIRED RANK: leader AGE: 40 moons GENDER: Female PERSONALITY: Serious | Quiet | Calm | Loyal | Very good Listener | trustworthy REASON: Her father raised her to be very loyal. If someone came to her with a problem, she would listen and try to help. She would do what's best for the clan and have a vote. RP EXAMPLE:
Like every night, Sunstar had trouble sleeping, it was the same dream over and over again. She was standing on the edge of Sunclan and Frostclan boarders holding a kit in her mouth while two were standing by her side. She had given them up so that she could become the leader of the clan. She knew what a mistake that was but she knew they were in good hands.
Waking up she walked out of the den and sat out in the clearing for a while. Her sister, Cedarstorm was also up and decided to join her. Cedarstorm and Blacksky were her siblings. Sunstar, what's wrong? Every night around this time you are in the same exact spot. Is it the nightmare again? Cedarstorm had asked. The nightmare was just something she had said to her sister so that she wouldn't bug her. Plus it was a different story she had told her sister. She said that she was seeing their father dying but it wasn't true, it was her own kits. She looked at Cedarstorm and nodded, Yes, it was. Why am I having this dream? She asked. Her sister looked at her and then looked at the sky. Maybe it's because our father misses you she said. Sunstar looked at her sister and sighed. Well I am going to lay back down She said and nudged her sister. When she got into her den she curled up and closed her eyes. This time it was a dream and no nightmare.
When Sunstar awoke the next morning, she was happy to see everyone. Her siblings going out on a hunting patrol and then she looked towards the path wondering if her kits would want to come home. She looked around to see that a warrior was still asleep. She knew who it was too. Walking to the front of the den she sat to see if the warrior would wake up. Darktalon, how many times do I have to say, stop with the night patrols! She said. When he got up and looked at her, he realized it wasn't another warrior but the leader. The black tom looked at her shocked Uh... Sunstar he said taking a gulp. He could tell that she wasn't happy. How did you know I go out at night? I mean, I'm sorry. He said. Sunstar walked over to him and sat down. She knew something was going on and she could tell that something was bothering him.Tell me what is wrong. she said. So Darktalon had explained that he kept looking up to the stars to see if Lilly, A kittypet friend he had was up there. She had taken him in when he was a kit and took care of him til she died. He missed her a lot and wanted to see her again. When he finished with his story, Sunstar nodded. Yes, I remember that kittypet. I know how it is losing a friend but you know that they are always in your heart and mind. Now will you go on a patrol or something. she said getting up. Darktalon smiled and got up after her Now that I feel better, yeah. Then came a shriek and Sunstar knew who it was, it was Cedarstorm. She ran to where the shriek was and it was on the boarder of Rockclan. What in starclan is going on here? She said. Cedarstorm looked at her sister and then at the Rockclan warrior. She was trying to take my prey. I covered it over there behind you Cedarstorm said. The rockclan warrior looked at them both That prey was on our territory that you killed. Sunstar looked at the warriors and let it go for about a minute and then told the Rockclan warrior to go and she will be speaking to their leader.
On the way back to the camp, she looked at her sister but didn't say anything. She knew her sister would never do that, she wouldn't cross the boarder. So is it true what that warrior said? She asked her sister. Cedarstorm looked at her, No, never on my life would I pass that boarder. I caught the vole and buried it there. She must of been watching me and when I turned around that is when I smelled her on out land. She said. Sunstar believed that her sister wouldn't do that. Do you think Rockclan is getting desperate for food? She asked her sister. Cedarstorm shrugged. I have no clue she said

USER NAME: Poppy CHARACTER NAME: Ashfoot DESIRED RANK: Medicine Cat AGE: 34 moons GENDER: Tom PERSONALITY: Honest, Loyal, Compassionate, Assertive, Quiet, and Kind REASON: Ashfoot would never let any cat down in his clan, it's one main fear that he has. He knows every herb and what to do with it by heart. He is always there when you need him, not only as a medicine cat, but as a friend. Ashfoot love to play with kits, and maybe wants some of his own one day. RP EXAMPLE: Ashfoot sighed, it had been a long day two Queens were both getting ready to have litters of kits. " I need to make sure I have everything ready when the kits come so borage leaves for milk, and cobwebs just in case of an emergency." He said out loud to no one in particular. He heard a cry of help from inside camp and he darted out of his den and saw that a warrior was limping badly. He quickly ran over to the injured tom and one look at his leg. "Get him to my den, lay him down easy." He ordered at the other shocked warriors, helping the poor cat out. The two warriors quickly walked to Ashfoot' den, laying down the injure cat. Ashfoot came back into his den and began working on Whitefang, propping his leg up very gently and to stop the slow bleeding, he put cobwebs on his leg. "It doesn't appear broken, just sprained and he will have to stay in my den until its healed properly. You may leave." He flicked his tail signaling the others to leave his den. Whitefang looked up at Ashfoot. "Am I really going to be fine? Ashfoot nodded and instructed the warrior to lie down and rest his leg.

USER NAME: steam, steamy, mc. steamy, whatever you'd like. c: CHARACTER NAME: mousepaw. DESIRED RANK: medicine cat apprentice. AGE: six moons. GENDER: tom. PERSONALITY: the easiest way to describe this tom is that he's very skittish about nearly everything. mousepaw is very mouse-like in that he is very quiet, frightened very easily, and extremely jumpy. however, this also makes him more perceptive and aware of his surroundings. paranoid could be another word for this tom, though he's not quite that bad. he tries to be brave, but even the smallest things tend to scare him or make him uncomfortable to the point that he'll either back away from the challenge or wait until someone can help him with it. while he's not the bravest feline in general, mousepaw isn't useless. he's a born medicine cat and when someone's hurt and in need of his help, he seems to transform into a kind of hero. mousepaw will jump at the opportunity to help anyone who needs him despite his own fears. he uses this as a motivation tool to push past whatever is scaring him, and will do whatever is necessary to get the job done. he's very empathetic to the feelings around him and tends to be influenced greatly by those close by or that he's spent a lot of time with; "synching up" with them, if you will. despite this, mousepaw doesn't seem to possess the ability to get angry with someone. even if they're directly attacking him, he will simply stand there and take it rather than get angry with them.
REASON: mousepaw is not fit to be a warrior. confrontation and fights frighten him, but he has an affinity for the plant life and herbal knowledge, and also has a huge desire to help those in need.
RP EXAMPLE: Cobweb. Cobweb, cobweb, cobweb. That’s what he was out here for. Ohhh, why couldn’t it have been something simple, like moss? That was easy to get; just find a tree or rock somewhere and collect as much as you could before heading back. Cobweb, though… Cobweb was scary to get. At least… Sometimes it was, and he was praying silently to StarClan that this was not one of those times. His cinnamon colored paws carried him, the always careful and soft paw steps making little to no noise in the thicker part of the forest within SunClan’s territory. What if there was a spider this time like there was before? One of those huge, hairy ones with all the little beady, black eyes that seemed to stare into his soul, the eight hairy legs sprawled out, looking ready to pounce… StarClan help him.
Mousepaw flattened his ears, his already small body becoming smaller as he crouched closer to the ground. The forest was alive today; bird song and the rustle of life within the trees, but it did nothing to calm the young apprentice’s nerves. He’d been teased about being so mouse-like and reflecting his name so well, and he had tried very hard to change that and to be braver, but it was impossible for him. Besides, he knew being a warrior was no life for him. Despite his cowardice, he felt… Special, to have been picked for this position. All apprentices grew up to get their mentor and then went on to be a warrior, but he was different. He was unique. He was the special one chosen to be apprentice to the medicine cat. He’d never done a special thing in his short life, so this was groundbreaking for the young tom. He felt rewarded, at peace. Even for a coward like him there was a place for him in the Clan.
He knew this route upside down and backwards by this point; it was a trek out to a cluster of deadened trees with hollowed out trunks, all of which had a collection of cobweb within their massive bases… What frightened him, however, was the thought of if something had stole into the tree to make itself a home. What if it was a raccoon, or a fox or badger or something? Those were definitely worse than spiders… Spiders at least didn’t run after you. Well, at least not always. Mousepaw sighed in dismay, feeling his small body sink closer to the ground under paw. Oh, what had he gotten himself into?
There they were. Up ahead he could see the trees; looming like hollow skeletons over the life of the forest around him. Each time he came to this place he wondered how much longer they had before they’d tip over, and somewhere in the back of his mind he worried if they’d topple over on him right now. Fur prickling at that, mousepaw picked his way carefully through the undergrowth, eyes nervous as they peered ahead at the black holes that marked the entrance to where he had to go to get this cobweb. He felt himself swallow thickly. What if something was in there? He wouldn’t know until he went inside and was face to face with it.
His paws halted a few fox-lengths away from the tree, tail sweeping up close to his body nervously. Mousepaw kneaded at the soft earth under his paws, claws working the dirt anxiously as he stared ahead. All he needed was a little bit… If there was something in there, he could just run in and run out. Quick and simple, right? He hoped so. The apprentice swallowed thickly and then, with his fur prickling uncomfortably, forced his paws to begin moving toward the hollow. He could do this. He had to do this. What would they think if he came back with nothing? He’d be branded even more of a coward than he already was. It was just a dark… Menacing… Gaping hole… That could be filled with something that would like to have him for lunch.
Mousepaw made a noise of distress before he abruptly launched himself forward, fur fluffed out and claws outstretched, with a yowl of warning to whatever was inside. He stood inside the hollow, tail sticking straight up and back arched, but there was nothing inside. Nothing but dust, ants, and the cobwebs he needed. The apprentice slowly deflated, his small body sinking back into his usual crouched, close-to-the-ground and small posture, before he quickly moved to take as much as he could fit of the stuff in his jaws. The sooner he got out of there, the better. The spider from last time could still be hanging around somewhere and he wasn’t willing to wait around to find out.
Turning tail quickly, Mousepaw made quick work of dashing away from the tree only to pause outside and glance back at it before he let out a soft sigh of relief through the bulk of the cobweb he’d gathered, and wrinkled his nose at the taste of it. It didn’t taste very good, and the texture wasn’t the best either, but he’d accomplished his mission in one piece and that was enough of a victory for the young tom. Gathering himself again, he started off back to camp, a new spring to his step.

USER NAME: Tiny CHARACTER NAME: Ternkit/Ternpaw/Ternleaf DESIRED RANK: Medicine Cat Apprentice AGE:5/6 Moons GENDER: She-cat PERSONALITY: Easily Distracted, Easily Excited, Paws On [Hands On Learning], Excellent Memory/Recall REASON: Ternkit is a very sweet cat and like her personality says she has excellent memory. It is a skill that would be better used for helping in the medicine cat den with the herbs than fighting. She has a large fear of getting herself hurt, and as a kit in the nursery she never engaged in the fighting games the other kits did. Instead she was found hanging around the medicine cat’s den willing to lend a paw. She’s also not that much of a chatty cat. She won’t talk her patients to death, and isn’t annoying in the slightest bit when it comes to her talking. Yes she is easily distracted, but she’s a young cat who wants nothing more than to help. It’s easy to get her back on task if you just call her name or tap her on the shoulder/back. (Tapping her on the head with your tail scares her slightly).
[/justify] RP EXAMPLE: Green eyes watched eagerly as she sat just outside the den of the medicine cat. The kit had abandoned the nursery a few moments ago when the other kits began playfighting. Instead of joining in this little kit was far too nervous about that type of behavior. She was scared that she would be the one injured. Though she loved helping in the medicine cat den, she didn’t want to be in there as a patient. Not again. Not after what happened the last time.
The moment the playfighting had started, the young kit had ran to the medicine cat den. This wasn’t a rare thing. Any chance she had to visit the medicine cat she would take. And without an apprentice, she was sure her help would be appreciated. Her mother always knew if Ternkit wasn’t in the nursery to look in the medicine cat den, it was a safe bet to assume she was there.
The tail of the little kit was twitching in excitement as she thought of just exactly what she was about to do. She was going to be helping out her favorite cat in the entire clan. Even if it was a small task of taking some bundles of herbs to a sick cat, she didn’t mind doing it. She heard the medicine cat calling her name, and Ternkit responded immediately going into the den and awaiting instructions. After receiving her task, the kit bounded over to the stock of herbs. And this would be an excellent task for the kit. After memorizing the herbs after the first few times of helping out the medicine cat she was easily able to distinguish them now.
Her task of the day was to look through the stock of herbs and see what needed to be collected. Still being a kit, she was not able to go out and find the herbs. But knowing what the medicine cat needed to gather and how much was helpful while the medicine cat was currently helping a cat get a thorn out of its paw. Ternkit sat down, her tail still twitching as she looked at each of the herbs carefully. Looks like almost everything had a decent amount. However there was a low stock on poppy seeds and the catmint looked low. If greencough were to break across the clan, this could be a problem.
Going over to tell the medicine cat the news, she saw the thorn in the poor patient’s paw. ”Can I help get it out?” she asked. It was a good idea, her teeth were tiny and it would be easier for her than a larger cat. With a nod of approval she inspected the paw and listened as the medicine cat instructed her on exactly what to do, and how to avoid as little pain as possible. ”Hold on!” Ternkit exclaimed realizing that she needed something. Running to the stock of herbs she grabbed some marigold and a tiny bit of cobweb…just in case. The little kit placed the marigold by the medicine cat and grinned as she was praised. She wanted to make sure the warrior would get an infection from the thorn. Putting on a little marigold and that little bit of cobweb would help protect it. Grabbing the thorn between her teeth, she pulled it quickly to ease the pain. The little kit mewled as she tumbled back from the force and placed the thorn in the corner of the den to dispose of later. She watched as the medicine cat put on the marigold, and Ternkit walked over to aid with the cobwebs. After careful placement the kit and medicine cat were thanked as the warrior made his way out of the den.
Soon enough her time in the medicine cat den ended when she heard her mother calling her name and telling her it was time to eat. With a quick wave of her tail and reminding the medicine cat about the thorn to dispose of, she told the medicine cat thank you before rushing out of the den and to the nursery, where she would tell all her friends and her siblings about her day, her siblings doing the same but leaving out the part of the playfighting for Ternkit.
